On Our Farm
The shorter days defy the temporary hot weather, and assure us that fall is really on the way. We sit in that delicate equilibrium where you can go outside in the early morning and not feel overwhelmed by the heat, nor do you need even a sweater. It is just right. The cooler breezes often gently sweep around you as though to encourage. All animals seem to be in good humor, with a new lease on liveliness as the heat decreases. May you each have a blessed fall!
End of the Season
September 22/23 and October 6/7 will be the last days we sell fresh chicken this season at our pick up locations: the farm, Springfield, and Mansfield. October 13 is the last date for Rolla. We hope to have frozen chickens available through the winter.
Hoop House
The hoop house is completed, and it is really nice. Wednesday night we were able to put the turkeys in their new home in the turkey pasture.
