Fresh chickens for sale Tuesday (farm) and Wednesday (Springfield), 7/12-13.
Our chicken will soon be for sale again fresh. Between our sale dates, you may buy frozen chicken Monday through Saturday. Just call or email and make an appointment. We will meet you at the plant.
FRESH CHICKEN SCHEDULE: Peace Valley: Tuesday, July 12, 2-6 p.m., on the farm Mansfield: Wednesday, July 13, call for time and to let us know you are coming. Springfield: Wednesday, July 13, noon till 1 p.m. Rolla: We hope to come once a month, or so. Call or email for information.
Beef buying procedure for this fall:
We are raising the beef for this September on our farm, and they are looking good, as well as being rather tame. For these beeves, we are asking a $200 deposit for each half, (returnable for cancellation prior to 30 days before processing). The price will be $1.40/lb. live weight, balance paid when the beef go to the butcher. Also, the customer pays the processing. We sell them as whole or halves. A customer who just picked up her beef, calculated the price for what she took home. It was $5.90/lb. These should be that price or less.
On our Farm

We are preparing for the arrival of the turkey poults later this month.
Recipe: Chicken Salad, Peace Valley style
6 cups cooked, chilled, chopped chicken 1-1/2 teaspoon salt, sprinkled on chicken & lightly stirred in (opt.) 1 cup celery, chopped 2 cups apples, chopped 2 cups grapes, cut in half if large 1 cup walnuts 1/3 cup Ranch Dressing 1-1/2 cup mayonnaise (adjust for your preference)
Stir together, chill, and serve.
